" How many Lessons will I need?" is understandingly one of the most common questions.

At SJK Driving we feel that it is important to let a student know their driving level and the requirements needed to get them to the test standard and at SJK Driving we will let you know after your first two hour driving lesson. However, it is important to understand that students learn at different rates, so the guide given will only be an estimate depending on your learning speed and driving contact hours (e.g. once twice a week etc.) The less gaps between lessons the quicker you learn.

Below is a chart detailing some facts from the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) research. This is intended as a rough guide, based on average time (hours.) It is assuming that the student has no previous driving experience and is taking lessons of at least 2 hours per week.

As you can see the older you are the statistics show the longer it takes to learn, however please remember this is just a guide, and it is possible to reach the required standard well before the times shown.
